''Motive'' is the driving force within us that takes us from an idea to reality. Our studio provides a safe, trusting, and empowering environment for our game teams to unleash their creativity across massive brands. But we're not talking about the expected, the conventional, the cliché. We want none of that. Here, you will help in making the extraordinary. You'll also help shape our culture. Here, everyone has a voice, everyone can be themselves, everyone is welcome.

A technical artist is a bridge between art and tech, working with artists, programmers, and the technical art team. Their main responsibilities can include art production workflows, tools, pipelines, performance, and shader development. As a technical art intern, you can be from an Art, Design, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science background; however, you have a passion for and a comfort level working with both art and science. As a technical art intern at Motive, you will work on a game team, developing new technologies in your area of interest (it could be in tool development, procedural workflows, rendering etc) to improve how we build content for our games.

Responsibilities:
• Work with the Tech Art team and Tech Art Director to design and implement art creation tools and workflows.
• Collaborate with content creators to understand challenges and requirements.
• Research and keep up with the latest trends and technical tools for developing content and inspire others through knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:
• Candidate for a Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Some experience working with a game engine (like Unity or Unreal).
• Knowledge of art packages, such as Maya and Photoshop. (Houdini or Substance Designer/Painter is a bonus)
• Some scripting/programming experience (in a language like Python).
• An understanding of the processes and challenges in the creation of art content for games.
