We are looking for an accomplished and motivated Technical Art Intern who will help us on this journey, while learning about the field of games technical art hands-on.

What a Technical Artist does at Criterion
• Game Technical Art encompasses many areas, and TAs who join the team will have the chance to develop their all-round creative & technical skills. We need to create beautiful shaders; write tools for artists; create procedural workflows; build UI systems and create 3D asset pipelines from DCC to Engine for all art crafts. Our Technical Artists work across the team to make a positive difference to both the game and to the daily work of their colleagues.
• We are looking for someone versatile and motivated to learn and improve artist workflows to help artists to achieve even better results. Having a passion for both the technical and visual aspects of games will allow you to see where you can make a difference.
• Working with our TAs, Artists and Engineers you will work in the team on all projects. There is always an opportunity to make your mark on the game, and the work you do will get in the hands of millions of players.

Skills and Qualifications
• Currently studying towards a relevant Games, 3D Art/Computer Graphics or Computer Science Degree.
• Experience in one or more areas of real-time 3D art (Environment, Vehicle, Lighting, VFX, Character, Animation, Cinematics, etc.)
• Experience with tools e.g. Maya, Motionbuilder, Houdini, Substance, Photoshop, Unreal Engine, Unity, etc.
• Experience with common scripting/coding languages e.g. Python, VEX, C#/C++
• Passionate about games and game art.
• You must provide examples of your work to be considered (Be sure to highlight your contributions to any group projects)
