Job Description
Marcom – Cinematic Artist

At EA we are a community of artists, storytellers, technologists and innovators working in one of the most dynamic industries today. The DICE Media department in Europe works as a tight-knit and cohesive team to produce world class trailers and other visual media for EAs games.

We are searching for driven and enthusiastic students who want to join the Marcom DICE Media Department this spring for an internship as a Cinematic Artist.

As an intern, we don't expect you to be productive from day one. Learning the tools and workflows take time. The most important thing is for you to learn, ask questions, and be curious. Once you are ready to take on production tasks, there will always be someone to guide and assist you along the way. We will be encouraging you to work alongside as many people as possible within the team, exposing you to areas such as shot layout, animation, lighting and rendering as we work towards achieving the final creative vision as set forward by our directors.

In an intern, we look for a willingness to learn, an ability to constructively take on feedback, and effective communication skills. In terms of technical ability, we look for artistic qualities, passion for your craft, a broad understanding of the workflows related to your discipline, and finally a problem-solving mindset.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Become a part of the DICE Media team, learning the workflows used and how we implement them in a production environment.
• Try out different areas within the DICE Media department to get a better idea of what you would like to do in the future.
• Continuously ask for feedback, interact with the team, and ask questions!

QUALIFICATIONS
• A passion for storytelling and narrative content
• Knowledge of cinematic language and camera direction
• An understanding of post-production pipelines.
• Solid written & verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of using the timeline/sequencer, as well as lighting either in-engine or 3D-package. (i.e. UE4, Unity, Frostbite, Maya, etc.)
• A general understanding of 3d packages such as Maya or MotionBuilder.
• Comfortable with using Photoshop, Premiere and After Effects

GOOD FOR YOU TO KNOW

Even if your experience doesn't perfectly match this job description we would love to hear from you anyway and get to know you better. EA is made up of people with different backgrounds and perspectives, so regardless of where you come from, we want you to apply if you want to join the next generation of artists creating cutting edge trailers.

Please note that this internship is unpaid and temporary employment. It needs to be associated with a university education or any other type of education that has an internship period planned into the education plan, for example, LiA. We are not able to provide relocation services for this role, so we will only consider candidates already residing in Sweden.

We look forward to receiving your application!
