Summer 2022 Hybrid Intern, DC Comics Manufacturing (Digital Production, Design, & Print)

Hybrid positions may have opportunities to work onsite, while the rest of the time is spent working virtually.

The Daily
• Art reconstruction using Adobe Photoshop on archival files to achieve print quality and digital display
• Assemble book pages, insert ads and DCN indicia pages in Adobe Indesign and route color proofs to and from Editorial.
• General Clean up of scanned art boards
• Download and organize assets files from BOX and inspect files ensuring they meet our specs
• Understand panel authoring for digital partners specs.

The Essentials
• Mac knowledge required: Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Microsoft Word and Excel skills preferred.
• Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and English usage. Knowledge of file set-up, maintenance and filing procedures.
• Knowledge of report, letter, etc. format.
• Familiarity with comic books and comic book history strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of DC Characters a plus.
• Must have the ability to pay close attention to detail.
• Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Must have the ability to work well under time constraints and meet deadlines.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th - August 12th (optional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system); must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
