Summer Hybrid Intern - Underscored Editorial

Job Description

The Team

As an editorial intern, your time would be dedicated to assisting in the day-to-day production of Underscored. From idea generation to drafting stories, cropping photos, building out stories in a CMS and evaluating products, this role touches all aspects of Underscored's daily operations.

The Daily:

The tasks could include, but are not limited to:
• Helping the edit team with pitching, writing, and producing additional content as needed.
• Completing story builds in a custom CMS.
• Conducting photo research along with re-cropping and editing images for articles.
• Researching and evaluating products from across the web.
• Writing headlines and performing A/B tests for content across platforms.
• Organizing and analyzing data on the Underscored audience.
• Performing industry analysis.

The Essentials
• Must have experience in writing content and a strong interest in ecommerce
• Previous experience using photo editing tools a plus
• Flawless grammar & spelling
• Must be proficient in MS Office Suite, and comfortable using content management systems
• Must be detail-oriented, organized and have strong communication skills.

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 program dates are June 6th-August 12th; (additional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system) must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week)
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program.
