The Job
The Race and Equality team is a hybrid team made up of digital and newsgathering staff. This role will be more writing but there will be some research help requests.
The Daily
• Functions of the position (at least 2-3 bullets describing responsibilities)
• Monitor news conference/events
• Write breaking news stories and/or enterprise stories
• Assist senior writers with interviewing sources/research
The Essentials
• Intern must be a communications, journalism, English, history, or political science major
• Understands AP style and basic news writing
• Follows the news and trends/well-versed on social justice issue

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Fall 2022 program dates are October 3rd – December 9th; must be available for full program duration
• Part-time schedule (16-24 hours/week) required
• Company-issued computer or secured remote access provided for the duration of the internship program.
