Cartoon Network is an industry leader in the creation of animated television for kids, tweens, and adults, and has expanded into preschool and family co-viewing films. The studio brings programming and production expertise together for Cartoon Network and HBO Max. This internship is designed to provide interested students with a hands-on experience in the entertainment industry team and will provide opportunities for professional growth focused on the following skills:
• Honing creative skills of storytelling and animation artwork
• Taking pitches from potential talent and working with show creators (both in and out of house) on their series and movie ideas as they move from concept to pilot.
• Training in professional creative communication, through reading scripts and pitches and writing coverage
• Assist in reading and provide script coverage
• Assist the executives with various research projects and competitive analysis Shadow the production pipeline (as possible)
We seek self-motivated candidates who are organized, passionate, and eager to work hard in a busy, fun, friendly environment. Intern will work alongside development executives, department coordinator, and assistants on projects in various stages of development.
The Daily
• Extensive reading and script coverage
• Visual development research
• Help organize team-building events and department resources
• Shadowing creative executives on development projects and pitches, note-taking in meetings and story sessions
• Assisting with upcoming presentations, networking events, conventions, conferences, etc.
• Data entry for pitch and talent logs
The Essentials
• Interest in animation and kids and family programming
• Pursuing a BA in a creative field
• Must be organized, proactive and professional
• Familiarity with Microsoft office suite, Adobe suite, photoshop, keynote, and PowerPoint; bonus familiarity with smartsheets

Internship Program
• Students must be currently enrolled in a college degree program for the full duration of the internship
• Summer 2022 dates are June 6th - August 12th (additional time frames are available for students in a university quarter system); must be available for full program duration
• Full-time schedule (40 hours/week)
• Company-issued computer provided for the duration of the internship program
