Job Description:

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. ("MGM") is seeking a Residuals Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the team that is responsible for new product set-up in the MGM residuals system and all payroll-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the residuals team
  • Review and approve all new product set-ups in the MGM residuals system, EP, and Cast & Crew
  • Evaluate all gross receipts and payment adjustments
  • Oversee the department's work for month-end diligence of data mapped into the participations / residuals system and quarterly residuals close process
  • Assess claims analysis, research for the audit team, and ad-hoc requests

 

Job Requirements:

  • B.A./B.S. with a major or minor in Accounting, Business or Finance preferred
  • 5-7 years' of residuals or payroll experience
  • Familiarity with the basic agreements of all U.S. and Canadian talent guilds and unions, as well as an above-average understanding of the rules governing the calculation of residuals or pension and health contributions
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Ability to take initiative, multitask effectively, follow through on projects
  • Exception attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Superb Excel skills
