Royalty, Collections Department
 
The Independent Film & Television Alliance, the trade association of independent motion picture distribution and production companies, is seeking a qualified Financial Analyst in the Royalty, Collections Department.
 
IFTA Collections orchestrates the collection and disbursement of international audiovisual royalties and levies from more than 40 countries for over 100 entertainment companies.
 
The position will report to the Director, IFTA Collections & Legal Counsel.
 
Responsibilities – include but not limited toResponsible for data entry (i.e. rights information, researching and updating title information, registering new titles, etc.)Filing and processing claims with royalty collection societies worldwidePreparing financial statements for royalty and levy payments to participantsConflict resolution and rights and royalties matchingAnalyzing and preparing financial reports for management and participantsCommunicating with members on administrative questionsCompleting ad-hoc projects

Job Requirements:

QualificationsCandidate must have a Bachelor’s degree2+ years work experienceComputer proficient (MS Word, Excel & Outlook, Internet and database skills)Excellent written, reading comprehension, mathematical and oral communication skillsComfortable with financial and accounting tasksCoordinate department scheduling and able to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment 
Some overtime may be necessary.
