Job Description:

Entry-Level Administrative Assistant to the Casting & Education Departments of Kalmenson & Kalmenson, Voice Casting
 
Part time, with possibility of full time in the future.
Monday- Friday. Occasional early evening hours. Periodic weekend as needed.
 
We are searching for a goal oriented, mature, entry-level candidate who is a self-starter and enjoys working. You must be willing to work from the ground up, with the intent of building a career for yourself, while supporting those colleagues around you. Daily tasks can include (but not limited to):
 
Answering phones
Scheduling talent
Typing scripts
Invoicing
Filing and copying
Managing, editing, and transmitting audio files
Online research
Prepping casting jobs
Prepping student and teacher class materials
Registering, counseling, and enrolling students
Scheduling teachers, engineers, and classes.
Managing tuition payments, tuition reports
Creating department reports
Opening classes:  greeting students, disbursing materials, intro teacher.
Providing and implementing marketing ideas - flyers, documents, emails, Facebook, LinkedIn, website, etc.
Monitoring inventory supplies
Contributing to office tidying, i.e. empty trash.
 
Growth opportunities in the casting department, and in the education department.
 
Job location: Encino based with possible trips to our Burbank and Santa Monica studios; and potential other satellite locations.

Job Requirements:

Required Skills:
College degree or equivalent related life skills.
Willingness to contribute wherever needed – all departments.
What-ever-it-takes attitude.
A good team player. 
Strong communication skills: verbal and written.
Minimum 40 wpm typing
Mac proficiency
Word, Excel & FileMaker proficiency
Professional phone manner
Strong online research skills
Social media skills
Ability to shift focus between tasks involved in different departments.
Strong focus skills, amidst interruptions, unexpected priority shifts and meeting deadlines.
Marketing experience, a plus
Some knowledge in graphic design, web design, and/or audio software is a plus.
Flexibility: shifting hours, at times including early evening or weekend. 
An interest in casting, and/or an interest in education/developing careers.

Automobile required.
