Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. (“MGM”) is seeking a Payroll Supervisor in its residuals department to manage the administration of MGM’s residuals payments.  The supervisor is expected to actively participate in the redesign, testing, and roll-out of MGM’s internal residuals systems. The supervisor reports to the Residuals Department Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of at least one clerical employee.

Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:
 

• Maintaining MGM’s residuals employee database
• Managing payroll-related needs of the department
• Liaising with the company’s third party payroll provider
• Handling all local, state and federal reporting and compliance

Job Requirements:

Candidates are required to have the following:
 

• A minimum five (5) years’ residuals payroll experience
• Advanced knowledge of PC applications (principally Excel and MS Office products)
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal payroll regulations
• General familiarity with the basic agreements of all U.S. talent guilds and unions, as well as an understanding of the rules governing the calculation of residuals or pension and health contributions
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Flexibility in an ever-changing environment
• Bachelor’s degree, or similar degree desired
• Knowledge of ADP Payroll systems
• Strong internal and external customer focus with a positive attitude
